Hi everyone, I’m Nha, who always experiences Saigon cuisine and always shares local restaurants with you. Today I had a dinner date with my friend in Thu Duc District and got to experience the beef hotpot there. It can be seen that around 5:30 PM, it was very crowded, mostly locals. This is Giao Toan Beef Hotpot.
When you visit, you will be enthusiastically supported by the staff and led to the dining table. The menu has a variety of dishes, especially the mixed beef hotpot with many toppings in it. The price ranges from 250,000 – 500,000 VND, depending on the number of toppings you choose.
The special soul of Lau Bo Giao Toan
My friend and I ordered a mixed hot pot for 300,000 VND. We were surprised because a pot have brisket, tendons, and meat stewed in hot pot broth. Even the broth is clear, light, served with lemongrass, five-spice powder, and a little fried onion. Besides, it was served with vegetables and noodles.

In addition to the rich flavor, the delicious dishes at the restaurant are also enhanced by the fish sauce. Especially when the fish sauce in Vietnam is always considered the soul of the dish. A bowl of delicious fish sauce will make the hot pot more flavorful, the more you eat, the more attractive it is. A small note is that the pre-mixed fish sauce is quite spicy, if you cannot eat spicy food, you should tell the staff in advance.

When eaten, the beef has a moderate softness, eaten with the restaurant’s fish sauce is really wonderful. The broth is clear, has a good taste, and is not too strong of meat smell.
When I had asked about the owner of the restaurant here, he shared that every day they serve more than 1,000 customers, and most of them are office workers and families.
