According to Article 112 of the 2019 Labor Code, on the occasion of Victory Day and International Labor Day, employees will have 1 day off on April 30 of the Gregorian calendar and 1 day off on May 1 of the Gregorian calendar.

April 30, and May 1 fall on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, and Wednesday, May 1, 2024. This is a normal working day and falls between the holidays of April 30 and May 1 as well as last weekend’s holiday.

On that basis, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs reported to the Prime Minister a plan to swap the normal working day on Monday, April 29, during the holiday of April 30-May 1 this year, and organize another day to compensate

The Prime Minister agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to swap working days for the Victory Day holiday, April 30, and International Labor Day, May 1, 2024. Employees will receive 5 consecutive days off.
